UPDATE:This functionality now included as of VirtualBox 4.2.0.

The aim they had was to create a reliable, efficient and innovative Linux distribution with a similar to MAC OS desktop. But the real fact is that Pear Linux 8 is an Ubuntu remix with a simple but beautiful user interface (a customized GNOME 3) and out-of-the-box support for many popular multimedia codecs. If your Mac is using an earlier version of any Mac operating system, you should install the latest Apple software updates, which can include important security updates and updates for the apps that are installed by macOS, such as Safari, Books, Messages, Mail, Music, Calendar, and Photos. The 'inset bounding box' is the containing box from which a component’s insets are measured. If the component’s insets are not linked to any other components, then its inset bounding box will be the inner bounds (i.e. Taking padding into account) of the component’s parent container.

Please refer to the 4.2.0 User Manual this is detailed under Starting virtual machines during system boot or section 9.24.3 in UserManual.PDF.
Included here for posterity, warts and all:
I've seen a few posts regarding running Virtual Box Headless mode as a Daemon in Mac OS X.
Here are some notes and files from my efforts. I've just thrown these together quickly and will update/correct them when I can.
My Bash Script:
Code: Select allExpand viewCollapse view
#!/bin/bash
# Expects VM name to be passed as parameter
trap shutdown SIGTERM
function displayhelp()
{
echo
echo Usage:
echo
echo -e $0 vmname 'x22'vmname (long name)'x22'
echo -e 't'Starts VM named 'x22'vmname'x22' (use quotes to enclose names with spaces)
echo
echo -e $0 -o --off vmname 'x22'vmname (long name)'x22'
echo -e 't'Powers off VM named 'x22'vmname'x22' (use quotes to enclose names with spaces)
echo
}
function shutdown()
{
echo `date` 'Received SIGTERM, powering off VBox: $VM'
/usr/bin/VBoxManage controlvm $VM savestate
# savestate as default (which seems to work best)
# also possible are: acpipowerbutton and poweroff
# See: http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch08.html#vboxmanage-controlvm
echo `date` 'Powered off VBox: $VM'

How To:
If you want to run Virtual Box VMs at Mac OS X boot up (no user logon required).
1. Set up & test your Virtual Machines in VirtualBox.
Make sure you can RDP or VNC into them if you need to access them while running them in Headless mode.
2. Make a copy of here.name.domain.reverse.your-vm-name.plist.txt
3. Rename the new plist to whatever you want, but standard practice bases it on your domain name reversed - you will need one plist per Virtual Machine you wish to run at startup. It needs the .plist extension to work – e.g.
au.edu.vic.braemar.winsvr2008.plist
4. Open your new plist in TextEditor.
Rename the placeholders appropriately using search and replace:
EXAMPLES
Code: Select allExpand viewCollapse view
Search: here.name.domain.reverse
Replace: au.edu.vic.braemar
Search: your-vm-name
Replace: winsvr2008
Search: your-user-name
Replace: vbox

5. Open Terminal and setup-launch-daemons.sh
6. Test each plist using launchctl
Within your home folder you should find vbox-daemon.log - open to see what's happening.
Hopefully that's all. If not, please contribute improvements to the Virtual Box forums:

There has been a recent trend in updating oneself to the growing demand for the needs of the industry. One of the most innovative software that is included in this updating genre is definitely the virtual machine. The growing trend of virtual machines has been having a lot of response especially when it comes to running premiere software.

Premiere software is very rare to use and most of them would require a unique system to operate. That is where virtual machines come into play, this software will run the virtual version of the operating systems and so. That the user can have experience in hand on the software and based on the response from using the system the user can take the decision of whether he/she can upgrade it to similar software.

Overview

There is a lot of software that can run in the virtual machine, but one of the most valuable and demanded software is definitely oracle. Oracle is one of the most famous in-line software that is based upon the Linux based distribution. The oracle was launched into the market by Red Hat and is still managed by them.

The Linux distribution had a good welcome when it was released into the market and with increased demand on the user-end, there has been a constant updating phase. The comprehensive update that is being pulled to such software is highly on demand.

Some of the features that are included with the virtual machine phase of the system are that the features mentioned are also available in the virtual version of the oracle, Linux based distribution.

1. The application program interface

The application program interface is one of the most looked upon class features in the oracle distribution. The feature has its own perks and one being the most efficient ways in which you can run and develop applications. The software is well looked up by many with this revolutionary feature. This feature also allows the user to interact with the software and make sure that he can customize all the aspects of the applications that are running under oracle.

2. The database becomes secure

The biggest threat that we face with database managed systems is the reliability that they have in regard to the feature of the system. There are a lot of systems that are working on the basis of the database management system and most of them aren’t as safe as they seem. You will have to work on a lot of aspects and the oracle is definitely 10 times better than your usual database-based distribution. With an improved security framework, the data that you enter into the system is highly secure and safe.

3. Database management is at its best

The complex of problems can only be solved only when there is proper planning and management of data. There has been a lot of revolutionary database management tools in the oracle that makes it super-efficient in managing data. They organize and categorize using different methods and make sure that there is always an easy way to retrieve data from the database.

4. The database is clutter-free

There are a lot of database problems when it comes to database management distribution and one of the most common problems that you face is clutter in the application. There has been really a lot of problems that are impending regarding clutters and the biggest issue is definitely not knowing to come out of the clutter. The oracle’s new virtual machine phase is excellently equipped with a software framework that will help you guide through the clutter and make sure that you can be efficient with the work that you do with the database management system, Oracle.
