HighRoad Mac v.6.3.5 HighRoad is a software package that lets you design roads as you always have - graphically. It makes use of the proven graphical interface of modern operating systems so you can use the program immediately without learning complicated commands. Open source implementation called OpenBFS is used by the Haiku operating system. Btrfs – is a copy-on-write file system for Linux announced by Oracle in 2007 and published under the GNU General Public License (GPL). CFS – The Cluster File System from Veritas, a Symantec company. It is the parallel access version of VxFS.
Yesterday I got to experience something new today in Adobe Illustrator CC (2014). It was an error 16 configuration error. Sounds redundant? It might be. But it kept me from opening my copy of Illustrator on the iMac.
The Roots of the Problem
This started out with an article that I read on MacWorld.com on how a white-hat hacker from Sweden had found a major vulnerability in the “Yosemite” version of Mac OS X. Somehow, you can manipulate the OS into creating a shell account on a with root privileges. The article doesn’t say if this can be done remotely or not. I’m personally leaning towards the hacker having to be physically on the Mac to do this. That’s the way most Mac exploits work.
One of the ways to prevent this exploit is to create a user account without administrator privileges and use it instead of the default admin account. I’m pretty lazy at times, and I hate having to make my computing experience more difficult than it needs to be. Plus I constantly back up my Mac. That said, I decided to take the “high road” and created a new admin account for installing software and modifying my system. Then I removed my current account’s administrative privileges. Now I’m finally safe from hackers and whatever. (I guess.)
That morning, I decided to work on an ebook cover in Illustrator. Clicked its icon in the dock, and before I even got a glimpse of AI’s start screen or interface, I received this fun little error message: https://herewfile300.weebly.com/dimension-hopper-kainkun-mac-os.html.
I just assumed that some settings or preference file was corrupt, and that this was AI’s way of vomiting it up. It does that ever so often. Then I’ll have to hold down Control–Option–Command to get it working again.
“I’ll just reboot my machine, and I’ll be back to work.” Well, I was wrong. The other funny thing was that my Creative Cloud menu was displaying “Free Trial” buttons next to my copy of AI. Seeing that began to make me a little paranoid. I began to wonder if my credit card blasted through its limit or if it was simply rejected by Adobe for whatever reason. I brought up my Abode CC account, and everything was hunky-dory. No issues with payment.
Per the screenshot above, I took Adobe’s advice and uninstalled then reinstalled Illustrator. That solved nothing. Then I researched the issue on Google and Bing. I had found an Adobe help page that claims that you need to adjust the permissions to specific folders. But the permissions to both my SLStore folder and Adobe PCD folder in my system had already been set correctly.
Then I had to think back to the things that I had done recently on this computer. The reason why I developed this habit was due to my experiences with “extension conflicts” back in Mac OS 9 and earlier versions. Extensions back in per-OS X operating systems were much like plugins in PhotoShop. Often times extensions had the tendency of conflicting with each other or with the system itself. This often caused all sorts of annoying problems or just simply brought down the system. I remembered that I had taken away the admin privileges from my current account. So I restored them and magically Illustrator worked like it should.
But It Wasn’t Over Just Yet!
This morning, my copy of PhotoShop gave me the same grief. (Another freakin’ Error 16 dialogue box.) I own a version from one of the older CS families. I’m not sure why that made a difference, but I had to get this resolved ASAP.
I had done some more research via Google this time. I found a thread on the Apple Support forums discussing this issue. Scroll down four boxes. A person named Nobby66 gave the suggestion to set all of the permissions to the Adobe PCD folder to Read & Write. Here are the steps:
- Use the Finder to navigate to Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PCD.
- Then select the Adobe PCD folder and use the keystroke Command–I to Get Info on the folder.
- Go to the Sharing & Permissions panel and click on the lock in the bottom-right-hand corner.
- The Finder will ask for an administrator login and password. Enter that.
- Click in the Privilege side of the panel and set every user to have Read & Write access. It should look like this below:
- Click the Sprocket button, which resides next to the minus button along the bottom of the Sharing & Permissions panel. That will bring up a small menu, and you will select, “Apply to enclosed items…” That will set the permissions for all files and folders within the Adobe PCD folder to what has been selected within the Sharing & Permissions panel.
- You’re done!
Are We Done Yet?
I think we are. I don’t know if the same resolution will work in Windows. Adobe gives the same remedy for Windows users experiencing a Configuration Error 16. You may want to play around with either opening your Adobe app under an admin account and/or tweaking your permissions the same way I did under Mac OS X. For Windows users please take these suggestions with the proper caution. I have no idea if tweaking permissions will cause any issues in Windows.

Getting ready
You can use HighRoad on your Mac OS or Windows computer. (ContactCreative Engineering if you wish to use HighRoad on Linux.)
To use HighRoad on Mac OS you need:
* a Mac OS computer fitted with a Universal Serial bus(USB) or an Apple Desktop bus (ADB) port -- a Power Macintosh isrecommended particularly for large projects
* the HighRoad key (either USB or ADB)
* System 6.05 or later
* a minimum of 2 megabytes (Mb) RAM available for HighRoad -- 20Mbrecommended
* a CD-ROM drive
* a hard disk with 4Mb of free space for a minimum installation Roham! mac os.
* a printer or plotter (optional).
To use HighRoad on Windows you need:
* an Intel Pentium compatible PC with a USB orparallel port -- a 500MHz or faster clock-speed is recommended,particularly for large projects.
Mac Os Mojave
* the HighRoad key (USB or parallel port)
* Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT 4.0
Highroad Mac Os Update
* a minimum of 6Mb RAM available for HighRoad -- 20Mb recommended
* a CD-ROM drive
* a hard disk with 6Mb of free space for a minimum installation.

Note: You will have received a suitable key foreach HighRoad license that you have ordered. Contact CreativeEngineering if the key you have does not suit your computerhardware.
Using yourcomputer
If you have not used your computer before, read your owner's guidebefore continuing. The owner's guide will teach you how to:
* click to select objects and text
* drag to select text and move things around the screen
* use pull-down menus to select commands
* manipulate windows to view different parts of a document
* select to edit text or data
* make a backup copy
The guide will also orient you to the operating system and basicmouse and keyboard techniques that you need to use all applications.
CopyingHighRoad
Your license agreement authorises you to make copies of yourmaster disks for your own use on one computer or workstationor for the purpose of backup.
Note: Remember that it may be a breach of yourlicense agreement to make extra copies of HighRoad for use on morethan one computer or workstation. Additional licenses for HighRoadcan be purchased at a reduced price if you wish to use it on morethan one computer or workstation.
Connectingthe HighRoad key
Enclosed with HighRoad is a HighRoad key. There are three types ofkey-- a USB key to suit both Macintosh or Windows computers, aparallel port key for use with Windows computers and an ADB key tosuit older Macintoshes. HighRoad cannot operate unless this key iscorrectly installed.
A USB key is small device supplied attached to a key ring with theHighRoad logo and your serial number. The key uses one of the USBports on your computer. You can add additional USB ports by using aUSB hub.
The parallel port key connects to the parallel port of yourWindows computer. If you have a printer or other peripheral deviceattached to this port, you can plug the cable into the HighRoad key.
An ADB key is a small cable with a special connector at one end.The key uses one of the (ADB) ports on your Macintosh. These portsare located on the back of the Macintosh and on the keyboard. Theyare designated by the icon .
Only one key is supplied with each HighRoad. If the key is lost,stolen or destroyed, you will need to purchase another copy ofHighRoad to replace it. We advise that you should insure the devicefor its replacement cost, which is the cost of the HighRoad package.If your key is damaged or fails to operate correctly, please contactus. You will need to return the key in order to receive areplacement.
Network licenses for HighRoad are also available. These allow 5,10 or 20 simultaneous users on a network. Network licenses come witha special key and server software which is fitted to one computer onthe network. Up to the licensed number of users can then use HighRoadon any computer on the network.
HighRoad uses a HASP key which is an approved USB/ADB/parallelport device. A HighRoad USB key can be installed or removed while thecomputer is running. We recommend that you turn off your computerwhen connecting or disconnecting a parallel port key. Always turnyour Macintosh off before installing or removing the ADB key.
Note: If you have an EVE 2 key attached to yourMacintosh you should not connect it at the same time as the MacHASPkey. EVE 3 and later keys do not have this problem.
InstallingHighRoad on a hard disk
Actualizar winrar 64 bits. The HighRoad CD contains the HighRoad application and variousexample files and documentation. The Readme document includesinformation about HighRoad written after the manual was prepared. Youwill need up to 60Mb of space on your hard disk to install all thefiles.
Installing HighRoad on Macintosh
Create a new folder called HighRoad folder in which to placeHighRoad and associated files. As a minimum you must copy theHighRoad application.
Note: If you have an older Macintosh with a 68kprocessor, you'll need to drag the HighRoad (68k) application fromthe folder called For older Macintoshes.
If you have a Macintosh with USB ports, drag the file MacHaspUsbDDonto your closed System folder. (It will be placed automatically inthe Extensions folder).Network versionsof HighRoad also require installation of a system extension calledHaspServINIT on the Macintosh to which the key is attached. Installby dragging it onto the closed System folder. It will be placed inthe Extensions folder within the System folder.
You may also wish to drag any or all of the example folders, andtutorial folders to your hard disk. Is fortnite on mac good. If you have not used HighRoadbefore, we recommend you at least drag the tutorial folder to theHighRoad folder on your hard disk.
Installing HighRoad on Windows
Insert the HighRoad CD and locate the installer application calledSetup.exe. You must use the installation program to install HighRoadfor Windows -- you cannot install HighRoad for Windows by draggingfiles to your hard disk. Double-click Setup.exe to begin theinstallation process. To access the HighRoad key, some additionalfiles are to be installed. These are installed using the HASP driverinstaller called HDD32.exe. Double-click HDD32.exe to install theHASP driver.
High Road Mac Os Update
Note: As part of the installation process, anuninstall procedure is created. You can use this to remove HighRoadand all its associated files from your computer. To access theuninstaller, choose Settings/Control Panel from the Windows Startmenu. Double-click the add/remove programs icon. In the list you willsee an item for HighRoad.
After the installation process is completed you can start HighRoadfrom the Start menu under Programs/Creative Engineering. The firsttime you start HighRoad after the installation you will be promptedfor a Serial Number and Authentication Key which is required forparts of the program licensed by us from Ardi Inc. Your serial numberand authentication is printed on the CD label. Contact CreativeEngineering if you do not have this information.

Choose whichever is best for your work.
HighRoad can print direct to Postscript printers. To allowHighRoad to print to other Windows compatible printers we recommendyou install GNU Ghostscript on your computer. This will enable you toprint to most Windows compatible printers. You must use Setup-GS.exeto install GNU Ghostscript. Before printing from HighRoad, choosePage Setup, and if you have installed GhostScript, choose Win32, andif you are printing direct to a postscript printer, choose Direct toPort.
Note: GNU Ghostscript (by Free SoftwareFoundation, Inc.) is made available under the GNU Public License(GPL). In accordance with the GPL, the source to GNU Ghostscript isavailable in the src subdirectory and the license agreement is in thefile copying.txt.
The file format for HighRoad project files and library files isthe same for Mac OS and Windows. Macintosh files carry informationabout the file type and creator application in the file itself.Windows files use a file extension to designate file type. Totransfer a HighRoad project from Mac OS to Windows be sure to add thefollowing extensions to the file name:
