Which macOS version is installed?

From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose About This Mac. You should see the macOS name, such as macOS Big Sur, followed by its version number. If you need to know the build number as well, click the version number to see it.

Which macOS version is the latest?

These are all Mac operating systems, starting with the most recent. When a major new macOS is released, it gets a new name, such as macOS Big Sur. As updates that change the macOS version number become available, this article is updated to show the latest version of that macOS.

If your Mac is using an earlier version of any Mac operating system, you should install the latest Apple software updates, which can include important security updates and updates for the apps that are installed by macOS, such as Safari, Books, Messages, Mail, Music, Calendar, and Photos.

A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Warning: This game is very difficult and may induce fits of rage

Gravity doesn't forgive...

Play as Slimefrog, the titular protagonist who has somehow found himself stuck at the bottom of a cave on an alien planet. Use your tongue to grapple up increasingly challenging obstacles in order to escape the planet!

This is just a demo, but the full version will be available in the future. Thanks for playing!

On a side note, this game was inspired by Getting Over It and Jump King

If you want to give feedback, you can contact me via the comment section or via twitter. My twitter also will be showcasing the development process.

Thanks for the support!

Tips

If you're struggling to get past the first few obstacles, here are some tips that may help you

- Try aiming down at a platform when above it. This will cause you to stick to the top of the platform

- While in the air, Slimefrog can lick up to 4 times before falling. Try saving your last lick in case you get yourself in an unfavourable situation. It could save you a lot of pain.

- Most obstacles have more than 1 way up them. If you cant seem to get up a certain obstacle, try a new strategy.

- The fly changes colour when Slimefrog is in licking range of the place that you are aiming. Use this to aim exactly at the corners of obstacles in order to get more vertical speed

- You can lick the same spot more than once to move even faster. This will allow you to get past obstacles that aren't possible with just one lick.

- If you are still having difficulty, please watch the gameplay video for hints.

From one hook-based platformer developer to another, here are some tips:

  • If you're gonna move the cursor with the mouse, make the hook button on the mouse as well.
  • Instead of stopping the hook when the player hits a wall, stop it once he's close to it.
  • It was frustrating, but not really challenging, because the hook just stopped halfway through, so I had to shoot it twice just to get up a mediocre distance.

Slime Frog Mac Os X

Thanks for the feedback! I'll be releasing a build soon which has extended controls, including left click to lick. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the second bullet point, but I suppose you could think of this hook as more of a very fast pull, instead of traditional grappling hook. Anyways, thanks for playing! I'll be checking out your game soon too.

If anyone wants to check out a gameplay video, and see the first person to beat the game, here's a gameplay video from Filip Budd

It is too difficult to control, at least for me. However, that was probably because i'm using a touchpad on my mac. It would be nice if it could be played with the keyboard or something, i don't know. It's a pity because I really wanted to play your game, it looks good.

Nonetheless, congratulations on publishing a game, it's really hard.

Thanks! I actually never considered using the keyboard to control, maybe I can use the arrow keys. Also I actually developed this on my mac using a trackpad, but the only reason I can control it well is because I've spent ages testing it. I'll try get up keyboard control as soon as possible. Thanks for playing!

Great! I'll play it then. Do you know how can i make itchio notify me when the game is updated? I followed you, that may be enough.

Hey dude , just released a new build. I've added arrow key controls for you as well as a lot of other stuff. To toggle between mouse and keyboard, press K. Also I don't recommend using keyboard because in my opinion, its much harder. Good Luck!
