Having stopcasting in your counterspell macro means that you will never miss a counterspell because you're casting. Also having cancelaura ice block means you can come out of your block to interrupt somoene without having to press a separate bind to cancel the block. Having counterspell arena1 is also great to counterspell people from stealth as you don't have to put people on focus or target first. It's also especially great against triple caster teams as you won't have to change target or focus. Keep in mind that it's very awkward to have to constantly change your target and focus against triple caster teams to always get a counterspell on the person you want, and so it's really important to have this macro.

Having arena1 polymorph allows you to spam polymorph on targets that are in stealth. This is also very important when someone uses shadowmeld. It's better to have this because you don't have to constantly change your focus, allowing you to able to be more aware of other things.

If you're playing with a melee, this is good to have to prevent an enemy mage from spellstealing a blessing of protection that you may have spellstolen from them if you're attempting to kill an enemy teams mage.

Even though you have arena 1/2/3, it's still useful to have this focus macro as it has the potential to be faster for you to use incase you're reacting to your focus frame.

It's really useful to have focus spellsteal as you can watch players on your focus frame and steal important buffs. For example you can steal a holy paladins aura mastery and then counterspell them or simply steal something like a blessing of freedom.

Having this macro means that if you spam your ice block bind, you won't use it and cancel it. Spamming the normal ice block bind from your spell book will actually cancel the ice block, so its very important to use this macro to ensure you never accidently cancel your ice block because you were spamming it.

This macro is required for you to be able to fake cast during a shimmer blink as you won't be able to move to cancel your cast during your shimmer blink and so you're forced to use this macro to fake cast in that moment. This is mostly good when trying to fake a rogues step kick during your blink.
